Have I told you that I have a good friend in Mexico? He is German and married to a Mexican. For a couple of years, he lived in Mexico City and could also see a Volcano from his terrasse, the Popocatapetl. But I think that one is still active. Anyway, a lovely view!
Dear Nergiz: How sweet of you to come by. Is your German friend still living in Mexico? The Nevado has a lake at the top, my husband has scuba dived there, it is too cold for me. On cold days you can see cars with snowmen on the hood driving through Toluca; it is exciting to touch the snow, it is a great fun place to visit. The Popocatepetl has a beautiful legend. If you like, you can visit here for more information and pictures. http://www.friendsorenemies.com/web/foe/photos /mmet28/?id=28230821 You are right, the Nevado is inactive and the Popocatepetl sometimes has fumes at the top.
